Kim Hobbs holds a Masters degree in Social Work and has a long career in oncology social work; currently working at Westmead Hospital in the Department of Gynaecological Oncology.
Kim advocates for improved psychosocial support services for all people with cancer and their families. She has a particular interest in addressing concerns about sexuality and intimacy in the context of illness and disability. She is a Principal Investigator on an ARC Linkage Grant, Multiple perspectives on sexuality and intimacy post-cancer, and a Team Member on a project funded by Cancer Australia, Development of an interactive training module for health professionals to address the psychosexual care of women affected by gynaecological cancers.
