Lynette Joubert is an Associate Professor in the Department of Social Work in the Melbourne School of Health Sciences, University of Melbourne and honorary Associate Professor at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre where she is a research mentor in allied health. She trained as a social worker and clinical psychologistand has an extensive publication record on social risk and health. She is one of only a few social work researchers who have undertaken randomised controlled trials of social interventions to address health and mental health problems. She has considerable expertise in practice research and a particular interest in the contribution of social networks to survivorship in cancer. She is currently co-editing a special issue of the British Journal of Social Work on recovery and social work in 2015.
