Victoria Jones graduated as a social worker in 1973 in the UK and has since worked in New Zealand and Australia in a range of settings. She has worked in cancer and palliative care since 1991 and currently is the Project Officer for the Furthering Aboriginal Health & Cancer Services – Working Together Project and also the Psycho-Oncology Service Development Social Worker in Murrumbidgee and Southern NSW Local Health Districts. Victoria has a deep commitment to working cross-culturally having been raised in Wales and worked in New Zealand alongside Maori, Pacific Islander and Pakeha colleagues. Victoria now works alongside Aboriginal colleagues and community members in endeavouring to contribute to improving cancer health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
