Kerry A Sherman
Dr. Kerry Sherman is a Senior Lecturer in the Centre for Emotional Health at Macquarie University, and a consultant researcher with the Westmead Breast Cancer Institute. She has previously worked at the Fox Chase Cancer Centre (US). Her research interests lie primarily within psycho-oncology, looking at the role of psychosocial factors in cancer, particularly breast cancer, with at-risk and affected populations. She has a particular interest in the role that other family members play in supporting a woman through the genetic risk assessment. Recently, Dr Sherman has developed and is trialling two theory-guided internet-based interventions designed to facilitate surgical decision making and provide information and support to male support partners.
